and Project Controls

OSDV provides Value-Added Project Management and Project Controls capability.  Our team has experience implementing staged gated Capital Project Management Processes (CPMP), risk management, project cost controls and scheduling.  Our experience spans the project lifecycle from developing the business case, through feasibility and early concept development, design, EPC, start up, commissioning and qualification.  Our professionals are subject matter experts with particular expertise in the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Earned Value Analysis (EVA), Critical Path Management (CPM) scheduling, risk assessment and mitigation and project turnarounds.  We can also perform forensic project controls and litigation support to identify the underlying causes of previous project failures.

Our estimating capability spans all grades of capital cost estimates from Class I (Order of Magnitude) to Class V (Definitive/Detailed).  Our proven methodology allows OSDV to produce a higher grade estimate at an earlier stage in the project, with less engineering completed, than is typically required for that grade estimate.  Conceptual estimates are produced early in the project using our historical data as well as industry standards.  Definitive estimates are produced utilizing material takeoffs, our in-house database and quotes from trade contractors.
